Oh Earth Day, quite possibly the single holiday that represents us as a brand and the ethos we stand for. A day of honoring, praising, respecting, and uplifting the earth and her bountiful natural resources that give us Life. Celebrating this day helps fortify our connection to the Great Mother and helps us better align our values with our actions so that every day becomes Earth Day. So that sustainability reigns and symbiotic relationship with the earth is commonplace in both business and personal life.
In fact, this year's Earth Day very appropriately coincides with a Taurus New Moon. The earthly, sensual, rooted, nurturing sign of the bull mixes with the dark, fertile magic of the moon.
This sun cycle comes on the heels of fiery Aries, where we are asked to take the primal energy we cultivated last month and root it down further into our foundations. We are being called to slow down, savor the sensual, and tend to our soil, both literally and spiritually.
How can we encourage more nurturance and tenacity for what we wish to see grow in our lives? How can we find ways to live out our values so that we create communities of abundance? What do we need personally to feel more abundant? To feel more secure in an ever shifting world? To help bring more security to others as our outdated collective structures crumble? How can we untangle our self-worth from our notions of productivity?
If there was ever a time to zealously honor and connect with the earth, right now seems to be it. The stars are aligned and the current paradigm aches for a return to more restorative, collaborative ways. The natural world is blossoming, pollinating and seemingly thriving as humans collectively slow down and are forced inward. This is Taurus season essence, grounding down to rise. This is earth wisdom magic, as nature always knows what it needs to heal and regenerate, and so can we if we listen.
When we listen deeper these days, we might hear some prompts from within to explore our resources. What are our resources? Resources are the things we need or actions to take to become better supported, more effective, stronger rooted, and properly taken care of. They can be both material or incorporeal, and right now we are being asked to take stock of our own. After we assess our current situation, we can begin the process of becoming more resourced if we need, and/or cultivating more stability with the resources we have already.
Below are some questions to gain clarity around resources in the areas of mind, body, spirit and community. It has been said many times and in many ways, but in this universe the micro affects macro and vice versa. So everything we do on a smaller level ends up vibrating outwardly as well. Just as the big global shifts end up being felt in very acute personal ways eventually. So it seems to make sense that as we value security and abundance of our resources within, we can become better stewards of maintaining earth’s natural resources as well.
Feeling Sourced in the Mind:
Feeling Sourced in the Body:
Feeling Sourced in Spirit:
Feeling Sourced in Community:
May the answers to these questions provide you with some clarity, reassurance and direction. May you find the resources you seek and work to maintain them, and may you help others find theirs. May the stability and security of our inner selves and personal lives lead to that of the flourishing world we wish to live in and leave for future generations.
